Die Pilgerstaffel führt 80 km in vier Etappen durch Tirol, organisiert von der Jakobsgemeinschaft Tirol.

Der Pilger betritt in Scharnitz an der historischen Talsperre Porta Claudia das Bundesland Tirol, wandert über ein wunderschönes Plateau zum international bekannten Ort Seefeld, um von dort über Reith bei Seefeld tief hinunter ins Inntal zu gelangen. Von Zirl führt der Weg nach Innsbruck, der Hauptstadt Tirols, und schließlich durch das Wipptal mit den Gemeinden Matrei am Brenner, Steinach und Gries am Brenner zum bedeutendsten Übergang der Alpen, dem Brennerpass.

So erwandert der Pilger/die Pilgerin abwechslungsreiche Landschafts- und Vegetationsformen, kulturelle Höhepunkte, geschichtsträchtige Örtlichkeiten und die Tiroler Gastlichkeit auf der seit jeher bedeutendsten Alpenroute gen Süden.
